Overhead Doors

TMC Engineering Ltd. supplies and installs overhead doors throughout the Bahamas. All doors we supply are hurricane rated to a minimum of 150mph to meet the Bahamas Building Code, however most doors far exceed that requirements.

We utilize two main manufacturers for our door systems:

  • DBCI provides doors with our new metal buildings which are designed to integrate directly with our Star Building Systems.
  • We utilize a major manufacturer in South Florida to provide custom service doors for new installs as well as renovations

TMC has the expertise to provide you with exactly the type of door and features you need.

  • Interior or exterior mount
  • Masonry & concrete installs
  • Steel jamb installation
  • Galvanized, primed, finished, or powder coated frames and curtains
  • ‘E’ or ‘Z’ welded or bolted tracks

    • Insulated door curtains (for cold storage or air-conditioned spaces)

We custom size all of our doors to fit the opening as requirements, factoring in the normal operation of the doors as well as the space available for proper installation.  Typical door sizes include 10′ x 10′, 12′ x 12′, and 12′ x 16′ – any size door can be built to accommodate loading docks, dock levelers, dock pits, ramps, or other building features.

We typically install our overhead doors in commercial or industrial settings – however we have done installation in residential projects for use as garage doors. Typically these installs are more expensive than a residential garage door, but the extended lifespan and minimal maintenance are desirable features for the homeowner.
